Rolf, a keen diver, wanted to add name labels to his wetsuit. Not an easy task, since a label on the outside of a wetsuit has to handle a lot: salt water, bright sun and regular knocks. He was considering military name tape, but asked us for advice.

Our advice: polyester labels

We recommended polyester labels. These labels hold up well against UV light and salt water, making them a logical choice for labels exposed to sun and salt water, such as on a wetsuit. To let Rolf experience this for himself, we sent him free samples.

The test

Rolf tested the samples for a full weekend while diving in the North Sea, without rinsing or drying them in between. They stayed in constant contact with salt water. Back home, it quickly became clear the labels still looked as good as new. No fading, no wear. He immediately ordered labels with his name on them.
